As an information provider of public sector data to commercial customers, we are committed to ensuring compliance with all applicable UK privacy and data laws including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
QSL Ltd is the data controller in respect of the post holder personal data that we use.
What personal data is collected?
The names of post holders and their organisation address, telephone number, and organisation email addresses are collected by us
Personal data is held where it has met one or both of the following conditions.
- Following disclosure from the post holder in question or from other employees within their organisation, either by post, email or phone.
- Where the personal data elements relating to the post holder have been published Eg within a tender notice by the employing organisation, public sector organisation, charity, or Government body.
Purpose and use of postholder data
As part of our business as an information provider of public sector contracts we make available post holder data to our customers to assist them with their research, business development, and pursuit of tender and framework opportunities. Post holder data is not shared publicly.
Lawful basis for processing
Data protection law requires that every organisation must have a lawful ground for processing any personal information about an individual. To provide our services we process post holder data under a lawful ground called "Legitimate Interest".
As an information provider we are dependent as a business on being able to provide post holder data to our commercial customers in order for them to be able to undertake their research, business development, pursuit of tender / framework activities.
